quick air induction question
quick air induction question
Is having a K&N filter mounted at the TB better than the factory "ram air" set-up? I have the TB mounted filter and I know it's just sucking up hot air....but I think it's still getting more air than the factory set-up. Am I right?

IMO flow differences are probably negligible but air temp would be significant.

If you are looking for hard numbers on this topic, you might be hard pressed to find them. Most people don't use the TB mounted K&N's because of that exact reason. If you still have the Z-28 cold air induction (draws air from in front of the radiator) I would put that back on.
A clean set of stock filters inhaling cold air is better than a high flow filter inhaling hot air.
