AFPR Adjustment/reading? (Guido?)
AFPR Adjustment/reading? (Guido?)
I took off the vacuum hose and plugged it (as per the instructions in the FAQ), and the gauge pops up to 60 PSI?!? Isn't that a little high? Also, when I set it, should it be like this (hose pulled and plugged, engine running)? If it's 60 psi now, doesn't that mean it's running nearly 18 psi higher then stock (42, I believe)? So when I do set it, I'll crank it down so it reads 42 psi, even in this maximum PSI setting?
I know, a lot of questions, but I was a little freaked when it jumped to 60 PSI at idle when I pulled the hose. Though this could explain hard starting and the rich exhaust though...
Any suggestions or instructions on whether or not I"m doing this correctly would eb great.
Guido, how did you adjust that thing without taking the plenum off? Also, what size was it again?

I have the Holley unit that has the flat top to adj with your fingers. I took off the vaccum hose and plugged it with my fingers then losened the cap until I read 36 psi (because that is the best for me to be running according to scan tool) Easy as that you are headed in the right direction. Also yea that is probably the problem you are running rich if you started the car with the FP that high.
i think, stock is 46 but +- 2 is ok
