startup/running problems
i have an 88 GTA with a 350 tpi. On cold startup, the car does not run on its own. As soon as you turn the key you have to nail the gas. You have to fight with it and keep pumping the gas to keep it running once you get it to a point that it will stay at an rpm with a steady amount of throttle, you very, VERY slowly decrease the throttle until your at idle. Then when you get to idle, if you rev it, theres a delay before it actually revs. In drive the first couple times from a stop it will try to stall. After driving for a little while, if you nail the throttle, there is like a 2-3 second delay before it even does anything. This hesitation when revving and when stomping on it doesnt happen every time, but most of the time. My idle is also very lopey and loud, but i think that the timing is advanced and its causing that. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please throw them at me.
Thanks

Re: startup/running problems
ok well i took the throttle body off and cleaned the **** out it with carb/tb cleaner since it was black. It seems like it can do cold startups now. But its still idleing like **** and it seems like its missing about half a ******** at WOT. I'll check my fuel pressure as soon as i have the money to get a gauge. I was 90% sure that my fpr was bad/going bad, but my mom made me take it to her mechanic and he said theres nothing wrong with it. I disagree. I also think my timing is advanced. I have a timing light but i havent had the time to check/fix it. On an open throttle body if you give it some gas you can clearly hear it stop sucking air almost completely for like 2 seconds and then it gasps and revs up.
