Which Throttle Body Cone Air Filter?

Well I ordered a throttle body cone air filter for my dads 92 Z28, but it turns out its way to big. The part number is RC-5050(link), and it hits the upper radiator hose, and also the belt tensioner. We have a nitrous plate on it thats about half an inch, but I don't think thats the problem. So my question is, whats the right cone filter to get that clears everything? Is it the smaller RC-5000(link)?

Thanks

I've got that same filter on my car, it hits a little bit on the upper radiator hose/thermostat housing and takes some muscle to get it on .....but I haven't had any major problems with it.

Could be your nitrous plate.....because if mine went out 1/2" it would be an issue.

Your just sucking in hot under hood air.

Hot air is less dense than cooler air.
Less dense = less O2.
O2 is what an engine needs.

Build a CAI tube for that filter.

Thanks.
I'll remove the plate and see if it fits any better.
