Problems starting, stalling, New 350

Hello,
I just rebuilt a 350 and put it into my Formula and everything is okay except it doesnt start right away, it cranks for about a full 5 seconds or more before it turns over and finally starts. Once I get it started then it runs really good. Sometimes i have to turn the key 2-3 times for a couple seconds...

But the other thing is if I stop fast before it can shift back into 1st (its auto, 700r4) OR if I turn and brake at the same time, the RPMs fall so much it stalls.

I did the timing on it and that didnt work, oil pressure and temps are all good. I dont know what it could be, it ran fine before the rebuild and runs good now except the problems getting it started and it stalling if I dont pay attention.

Any ideas? It would help alot!

-Jesse

P.S. its a 1987 formula 350, 350 TPI, 700r4

It sounds like your tps sensor could need adjusting. run a search on it, theres a thread that will tell you how to adjust it step by step.
