What is the Fuel Line "thread size" ?

Ya' know - the hoses that go from the inner fender and over to the TPI, what is the thread size? I want to replace them with braided hoses, and all I can find are the AN type fittings, so I will need some type of adaptor. Does anyone have any info on whats needed???

Thanks for any help!

supply is 16X1.5
return is 14X1.5
Accel makes fittings to go from these to AN
Weatherhead and earls make fittings to go from this to 3/8 iverted flare. I have only seen male adapters so I realize this may not help. Your best option may be to pull the lines and cut and flare them to what you want.

Jegs sells the fittings in theyr book in the tpi/lt1/ls1 section the fittings cost $34 and you will need to buy the braded hoses and the fittings for the hoses and you will be set.

I got my kit from Lingenfelter...its made by accel...it allows you to use a AN fitting/braided hoses and connect to a 3/8 saginaw stock line.It should also come with a adaptor to a 7/16 size as well.Thats a common return line size.

The size was a -6N adaptor/hose size.
It allows you to connect to a TPI fuel filter or connect to the fuel rails.

Word of caution...I redid my fuel lines in braided hoseson my 86 Vette made by aeroquip...while no problems whatsover,they vent gas fumes.Its not very strong but routed by exhaust or engine heat,who knows what coud happen.

I can smell gas if i get my nose close to the lines anywhere...try and find or ask the manufacturers about lines that wont vent fumes..Ive heard now you can get them teflon coated or something inside.
Just wanted to pass this along.
