Help w/ shift light!!
Help w/ shift light!!
I have a Proform shift light I'm trying to install and have a couple questions. The instructions say RED=12V ignition switch, Black=good engine ground, Green=Tach terminal(for GM, HEI, MSD) or to coil negative (for standard ignition).
Where is the best/easiest place for my RED wire and where the heck does the green wire actually go? I didn't know we had a "tach terminal" on our cars. Can someone please fill me in. P>S...I posted in electronics as well.
Thanks

The tach terminal is on the distributer cap. Look at the cap where the harness plugs in to the bottom side of the distributer cap. There is a terninal connection marked TACH. You can run you red wire to the fuse box under the driver side of the dash.
