Whats a good cam & head cobo for a 305 TPI motor?

Im wondering what would be a good head & cam combo for a 305 TPI engine. Probably a wild street cam if possible, I have full length Hooker Super Comp headers & flowmaster supper 40's, yellow top injectors, & MSD that came wih the car. It sounds really nice just missing the heartbeat if you know what I mean

Wild street cam + 305 + stock TPI computer = a very bad combination

There are only three good head choices for a 305 engine. L98 aluminum corvette heads (same as ZZ4 heads), or stock 305 TPI heads, or S/R Torquer 305 heads. And for a camshaft, unless you're planning on doing your own custom chips, you need to stick to something around 210 or less intake duration, with .470" or less lift, and 112 LSA or higher.

I have the comp cams 08-500-8. It is 206 int 212 ex with a .480 int and .488 ex and 112 LSA. It works fine with the stock speed density computer, but will definitely benefit from a computer tune. This is with the stock TPI heads. It is a good torque cam.

Re: Whats a good cam & head cobo for a 305 TPI motor?

I figured so, I have a 92Z 5.7 TPI all stock rite down to the muffler with 99*** miles on her, Im leaving her bone stock. So im in the process of buying another 92Z, but it has a 305 TPI & all of the emissions & a/c pulled.
So that will be my play car, it has ful length super comp hookers, super 44 flowmaster, mild trans, & suspension work. Getting it for a steal, so I was wondering what kinda cam & head would be good without doing major work.
I was looking @ AFR or Brodix heads if that would help.
