allright here is the info on my car and what it is not doing.
It is a 91 trans am v8 tpi with racing struts, racing computer and the chip. it has a new fuel pump, plugs alternator and a new tps put on it. (i got it for only $500 from a freind) the problem that the previous owner was trying to fix was that he could start it and it would idle fine but when he put into drive or reverse it would move only four feet before dying. when i got it to my house the battery cell was gone but i was able to jumpstart the car (by jumping it off my dad's F150) and after a few tries it idled for a few miniutes then cut off. the next day i jumped it off and reved it (2000-1000 rps) untill it idled fine. i then drove it 3 miles with the throttle sticking in the low rps. i thought it was just dirt, but when i tried to start it the next day it would not start right off. after trying for about an hour it would start then instantly cut off. i kept attempting to start it untill it idled for a few miniuts before dropping to 200 rps. and when you would hit the gas it would choke out unless you babied it. i then reved it to 1000-2000rps untill it was warmed up. when it was warmed up to 220 it idled fine and reved great for 20-30 miniuts then died. i replaced the battery (i was tired of jumping it) and it will not start at all. all it will do is turn over. could someone give me a list of things to check? (my first car) i did check the fuel injectors and they seem to be fine. i also trouble shooted it and came up with code 12, it then repeated the code without giving me any other codes. i cannot find the map sensor so i asked the previous owner and he said that it never had one the whole time he owned the car, but it ran fine for him untill now.it also does not have a MAF. im gonna be working on it tommorrow. think ill change the idle air controll valve and see if it'll start. any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

hey yall i found out the fuel pump was not working. i think he got a bum pump. the new problem is that it idles around 1000 rpms and when in drive you can't get it above 3000 rpms without it acting up. any suggestions?
