The Mini Ram is $1255 w/ the fuel rail kit. It breaks down to $895 for the intake, and $355 for a fuel rail kit.

Also remember you're going to need the MR chip, which is another $550 I think.

you just need a custom burned prom. I got mine from Ed Wright for his old price of $300, now I believe its $350.

I've had limited experience with the Super Ram... It's a pain in the rear to install, unless you know a few secrets. I didn't know the secrets...
Basically it boils down to this, if you are going to run above 6000 RPM, and don't mind running 3.73's or 4.10's, go with the mini. If you aren't gonna rev that high, and do more street driving than strip, SuperRam it.

or you could get a LT1 intake which is about the same as a miniram but LOTS cheaper. They made it fit the older small blocks.

Actually the Miniram is a bit better than an LT1 intake. I have been to TPIS (about 20 minutes from my house) and have looked over the Miniram pretty well. I saw a few things that are different about it, besides having a coolant passage and provisions for a thermostat housing, and a distributer mounting hole. The 'plenum' area of the Miniram is raised off the bottom of the intake manifold, which keeps the air cooler as it goes through the intake manifold since the hot oil that splashes on the underside of the intake won't heat up the plenum floor.. It is like a single plain or 'Air-Gap' carbed manifold setup..... That raised 'plenum' area also means that the runners are about an inch longer than that of an LT1 intake. So basically it is an LT1 intake with provisions for a non-LT1 block and heads setup. But it really does have a few benefits over the factory GM LT1 manifold design..... I know, I know.... it is too expensive..... tell that to Myron...

To AaronIrocZ. It sounds like you have the XR278 comp cams? You have a setup like I want to go. How does your car run. Does it still seem to die after 5000 like most TPI's do?

One thing people always seem to rag the Miniram about is that you LOOSE bottom end torque and it is strictly a HIGH rpm intake. This is NOT true.

I have a buddy that had a Miniram on his ZZ4 block and then upgraded to a 383. On both engines, he specifically selected a shorter duration cam/high lift as he is not into winding out his motor to 7,000 rpm either.

I can tell you that NEITHER of his engine combos suffered from "lack of torque". His 350 felt like it had just as much bottom end torque as my L98 (and of course his top end was much better). And his 383 flat out blows my 350 away through out the powerband.

The Miniram promotes a "flat torque curve" while TPI promotes a "curve" with the high at the lower part of the power band and then it falls off. The Miniram does have a lower "peak torque", but the peak is not much lower than TPI.

The key to where the engine is going to make its power has more to do with cam selection. And again, I think the Miniram wins here, as it seems to work with a wider selection of cams than other intakes (of course, getting a cam specifically for the Miniram is best).

Probably the biggest reason to NOT select the Miniram (if a person is contemplating changing their intake) is if you have emission testing AND they specifically check for a functioning EGR.
