were z-28's the only models with tpi(mpfi)?
i was looking to get a new 3rd gen v-8, and i was wondering if any 305's came with tpi instead of tbi? if the 305's do have a tpi setup, how hard would it be to drop a crate 350 in its place? i would think it is a direct bolt-in with some prom mods. if anyone has done this, please let me know.

The 1985 and '86 TPIs were ALL 305s (except for the fifty or so late '86s that were built as factory test mules). The Corvette TPIS in those years were 350s. Later Pontiac Formula 350s were also TPI engines.
So not only the Z-28s and IROC-Zs TPI. Installing a 350 in place of a 305 is a direct mechanical bolt-up conversion. The things you would need to change for the 350 would be the ECM PROM, injectors, knock sensor, ESC module, and possibly the HEI module.
