Its a cat back that they make for the forth gen.I would call them and ask if they know how close of a fit it would be I dont see why they could not compair it to one of their third gen cat backs and see if it would work the only thing I can see that would be a problem is how it hooks to the cat dont know if 4th gen cars bolt up the same.

why not just get an SLP resonator, take off ur muffler and put in a y-split pipe and bingo, since im guessing SLP loudmouth uses a SLP resonator, it would sound pretty much the same? thats what i plan on doing soon.

Normally i'd agree that this is an exhaust board question. The thing is, the exhaust board should more aptly be named the 'how do i run duals cuz 2 pipes must be better than one' board. I've seen this question raised there and i've never seen a good answer. Perhaps this board has better readers.

Ed, you're right, since exaust is one of peoples first mods, they're alittle green. No matter how much you say there are always newbies contradicting you. The only leverage I have when I say something is my number of posts =/ and hopefully my rep. if I have one.

I'd do it just for sound but its not "needed" for good HP like so many people think.

Mine were actually both Flowmasters on high HP engines.

most cars can't get away with sounding like motorboats. Too many tickets, no cats, no mufflers, just big *** headers.

do you guys think the SLP loud mouth would sound better on a stock TPI or would it sound better on a stock LS1? I've heard it on a stock LS1 and it sounded awesome!

the Gen1 and Gen2(LT1/LT4..) have a different firing order that makes the exaust sound better than the Gen3 engines(LS1/LS6/5.3Vortec/6.0LVortec)

I wouldnt exactly say the different firing order makes it sound better, what it actually does is make it much more tolerable. Put that exhaust on an LT1 or a TPI and it should sound good but you better have hearing protection handy

I have heard them all and still think the L98 sounds better, especially with some mods.

I haver heard the SLP loudmouth on a couple of LT1 cars with long tubes and it was TOO loud. Both people, once they put on the headers is looking for something quieter. So, IMO, if you are putting it on stock manifolds, and cat, go ahead, but be forewarned the loudness and resonation will get to you

Exhaust can't be too loud... I think thats just a rule

As long as you have mufflers then I wouldn't worry about getting anything quieter, just turn the music up
