MAP location

I'm setting up a SD system using a MAF
plenum with no MAP boss. What/where
is the best method/location for mounting
the MAP sensor?

TIA,
Jack

firewall, make a bracket, no limitations on
where other than how long the wires and
vacuum hose are. just want a full manifold
vacuum on that line. DO NOT TEE OFF THE
MAP

I noticed the carbureted 3rd gens and some V6 injected models have a stamped steel bracket that bolts to the firewall lip, under the bolt that holds the brace bar that goes from the firewall to the fender.

For a pic see:

Go shopping, should have no problems finding these at your local junkyard.

Axle/Gears: Strange 12-bolt
It should be placed hogher than the vacuum hose from the plenum to avoid condese to get into the MAP sensor.
