most possible horsepower

What is the most possible horsepower you can get out of a TPI engine WITHOUT changing cam, heads, intake, headers, nitrous, super/turbo charger?

or

What kind of horsepower would I get from a 350tpi when I add cold air w/ K&N, remove MAF screens, remove smog pump, add airfoil, throttle body, AFPR, chip, ignition box, coil, plugs&wires, freeflow cat, and exaust? ET?

I think the cold air is a gimmick. My tpi draws air from the front and bottom of the car. It doesn't get much colder than that. It's not like you're getting engine heaat...

The airfoil...crappy gimmick also...you'll never feel it.

Plugs wires ignition, great for a good running car but will mostly help you at high RPM's...which is not where our cars make power. I'd stick with just the plugs and wires.

I've never removed the smog pump, but I'm guessing you'd be getting rid of some parasitic power loss, but again, I don't know if you'd feel it.

Headers,cat, muffler...Heck yeah...go get 'em...THE FIRST MOD.

K&N's...OK, this is the FIRST MOD.

TB- If you're gonna do 1 induction piece, better do 'em all if you want to see the difference. If you get a TB the air will be resrticted at the plenum...then the runners...then the manifold...Gotta do tham all.

Chip- don't waste the money...yet...

All of these (in my opinion) will help, but a cam is around 300 bucks, and it'll so incredibly out perform all these others put together...I'd go K&N, plugs and wires, during a tune up...then go exhaust. After that...i'd look into a cam...guys...are you all with me on this? Heck a transgo shiftkit will make it more fun than a MSD or TB.

I could be wrong...just my semi educated, non- expert opinion

Don't get me wrong, everything helps, I'm just thinking from a cost/effectiveness point of view. !!!

please dont throw away money on an airfoil! thats the biggest load of crap ever. Don't you think GM would have stuck one in there? If you can show me another car maufacturer that uses an "airfoil" than ill support it.

You wont get better $$/hp ratio than you will with a nitrous kit. Im not sure I would recommend running it on a stock motor (especially after my buddy just toasted his motor with a 150 shot). Ive heard people who have the ***** to run a 150 shot on a stock 305tpi can get into high 12's with slicks and small mods.

If I were you I would definetly go with headers and exhaust before anything, then start looking into larger mods (cam, head work, intake porting, etc.)

peace
