Transmission: a crappie 700-R4
Runs open loop all the time, even after replacing o2 sensor

My check engine light has been on for the longest time. i scanned it and the computer is throwing the open loop code. i can't understand why its doing this, even after i replaced the 02 sensor. it also idles choppy and rough in cold starts. Need help please!!!

Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Check your ECM temp sensor, sounds like that would do it. its on the front of your TPI base.

if it's in open loop there's something not right, a sensor out of range. with the Scanner find either another code in there, or the sensors related to the closed loop status.
ie.
o2s
CTC
MAP
if one's out of range for a period of time it may not trip a particular sensor code, but the computer will time out, not go into closed loop and send a code.

hey Pk, u dont have a scanner do u? You know i'm still havin the same problem with the freakin car staying in open loop, its freakin pissing me off!!!! if u have a scanner i'm driving down and stealing it

Hello, check your wires from o2 sensor to ecm. i've seen bad ecm's not allowing closed loop. best of luck, tom
