Its you people that are always compromising that ruin the really imformative posts. You really get to see the pro's and con's of things when people are fighting about them. Then you guys walk in and make peace and everyone stops talkin.

I have awesome low end with my mini ram and 406. It also had a 230/236 cam.

1.57 60' is best.

I'll come out and say it.... the stock TPI totally stinks !!! This opinion is based upon direct experience.....I tried for years to get a long runnered set-up into the 11's... I never even made into the low 12's... and this was using every trick in the book.

Problem was, those things just cannot build any hp... period end.

As a note, regardless of if its a Superram or Miniram, both will tear apart a long runnered set-up in a short distance race contrary to popular opinion if both are optimized for the power range they have.

My only advise to everybody running long tube runners.... through them in the garbage.... regardless of how attractive they look to you.... to me they are symbol of weakness, not strength.

good luck
Todd

Sure it will pass emissions, but it has no EGR and is not 50-state legal. Thats what is meant by that.

Those that like the long runner TPI setup yet still want power should get a set of AS&M or SLP semi-siamese runners. Regular runners wont cut it.

I think this is about the 10th time I've seen this argument on here since I joined this board. Of course the guys who went and spent thousands on Miniram are gonna defend it. Just my .02 but I'm sure we could find something better to put here. During the time that it took me to read through this post and type this I could have been on to someone else's post helping them with a REAL problem.

I bet people rip on tpi because they want to go really fast without spending a bloody fortune & still not going that fast.
It may look good in pictures but it's sure not very user friendly to work on.

I'm just waiting for my intank fuelpump to crap out so i can walk to work this winter and save up a few hundred to fix it and still run the same speeds as before... NOT

A friend of mine had some little sensor go out on his ride and it ran like crap and ruined his new catalytic converter before he could pay $40 or whatever on some sensor. How cool is that?

The grille thing on top of the plenum is always so hot and makes me want to cook hotdogs on it or something.

Easy there 'Junior Member'. There are plenty of people that have got fast TPIs that don't spend any more than a comperably quick alternative engine or induction setup. the bottom line is that it costs money to be fast. So deal with it. And don't act like you hate TPIs here as this is the TPI forum.... I, and the rest of the members here, do not like you're kind of rantings on this board.....

Matt was it really necessary to talk down on me like that? and do you really speak for everyone else on this board? you are right that i should leave the tpi section and i will, but not so to make you happy.
you sure stick your neck out to defend tpi performance and your car is only doing 13.4 g-tech times! to each his own but that's not the kind of fast i'm looking for at all. Since you love tpi so much how come you don't go work for myron and sell those ultrafast tpi parts for a living? just kidding.
anyway i was just answering the question as to why some people may not care so much for the tpi. I stated some reasons. I did not see you contributing to this thread besides to talk down to me. I hope not too many people here are like you.
I'm gone.
