fuel pressure problems
i just installed a hypertech AFPR and now im not getting no reading from my fuel pressure gauge, fuel is leaking out of AFPR (not sure if this is supposed to happen) and car is running completely horrible. i am completely lost. my gauge does works and is just not giving me a reading . i don't even know where to begin HELP PLEASE!!!!!! did i install wrong or what ?
Re: fuel pressure problems
Well per your discription some thing is wrong. I would start over and follow the instructions. It should not be leaking fuel. I have had the hypertech AFPR for years with no problems & my FP gage works.

Re: fuel pressure problems
Does fuel leak out the vacuum line connection when vac line is removed? If so, the diaphram is reptured and will have to be replaced.
Re: fuel pressure problems
Fuel should not be coming out of the vacume port off the pressure regulator. Make sure you don't over tighten the AFPR cap, your only supposed to use 13inch/lbs of torque...I learned the hard way! There is a proper sequence to tighten the AFPR cap, it should be in any service manual and I'm certain there's a thread on this site.
