Help me build my engine

Ok here's the scoop, i have an all stock 350 tpi, and some of the gaskets are going, so im gonna pull it out and do my first rebuild. Now my car is hardly a daily driver and only really goes out on the weekends and maybe twice a week. Its really only a stoplight to stoplight car, i really dont plan on taking it to the track, however i believe the stock 350 to be "a dog" so to speak, what advice/parts do you guys suggest for my rebild, i am defintly planning on an ATI supercharger to go with my setup, any suggestions.

Whats your budget? A new cam, some slp headers, new heads and a new intake would go nicely with that supercharger. Do you care about smog? Whats your budget? How fast do you want it to be?

Money is really no object, i want to be able to compete/beat newer camaro or mustangs I do care about keeping all smog, AC,accessories intact. I will have to retain the stock tranny, so i dont want to go blowing the rear out, but somthing strong through the 1000-5000 rpm powerband, any suggestions ????

I'll take the bite. If you're gonna install a blower, then you'll want good rods, forged pistons, good heads like Trick Flow or AFR (thicker deck, important for boosted engines), a decent cam (don't have to go too wild), aftermarket long-tube runners and manifold base, headers, etc. A good cam would be the CompCams 215/220 on a 114 LSA, which is sort-of their EFI blower cam. This should give you 400+ horsepower and boatloads of torque.
