Roller Rockers
Roller Rockers
I have a 1986 305 TPI camaro, and was wondering if Roller Rockers work with the Hydraulic Flat-Tapper camshaft, or do you need a Hydraulic Roller Cam. If you dont need a roller cam, then what are the best rockers for my car.

you are in luck for two reasons yes roller rockers will benefit your engine even though it's a flat tappet design.second since you have the perimiter bolt valve covers your rockers will be substantiially cheaper than the narrow body rocker arms needed for 87 and later cars................

The best are comp cam pro magnums. They are steel roller rockers they will out last the aluminum ones. LPE started using these because of durability problems long term on the street.. with the aluminum ones. IM using aluminum on my car but only for a short time so i dont know how they last long term. Ive been told the aluminum ones only last about 30,000 miles.
