I have a friend with a 92 formula. Which engine does he have?

 

He either has the 305 TPI or 350 TPI. Look in the rear hatch storage box thing and see which one of these RPO codes are there. If it's LB9, it's 305 TPI, if it's L98, it's 350 TPI. If it's LO3, it's 305 TBI, but I don't think those were offered on 92 Formulas. You can also look at the 8th digit of the VIN, and if it's an 8, then it's a 350. I can't remember the other ones though.

He's got the 350. What kind of mods are usually best to do first on this car. Already has a flowmaster exhuast and off road y-pipe but no other mods. It's an A4. The SLP headers look preaty nice?

 

Start with the free mods, like homemade ram air intake for firebirds, TB coolant bypass, porting the upper intake plenum well, advancing the timing. That's about all I can think of right now. There's tons of stuff in the Tech Articles section about the free mods. Just look through there, and you'll come out with some good ideas where to go.
