how much out of my injectors?

I have the stock 22# injectors in my 350 and I am wondering how much power I can push with them. . . I am most likely going to a 383 and I know I am going to need new injectors eventualy anyways, but can I live on them til the spring with just a AFPR? I am not going to put very many miles on it, and plan to baby the first couple thousand miles. . will I be ok with 22? thanx

ok, you should be ok with the 22's for a while but if your spending the money on a 383 you want the power to. Go with some 24's-30's and youll get some good flow. But around $250 a piece they will put a dent in your wallet

Find a used set of LT1 24# injectors and have them cleaned and flowmatched. I picked my injectors up for $25 and had them cleaned and flowmatched by Cruizin Performance for $80. New screens and o-rings and they'll flow better than they did from the factory.

You can consider a rising rate adjustable fuel pressure regulator RRAFPR from www.cartech.net/ for around $240. While this is costly, it has the potential for increasing most stock injectors flow as much as 40%, meaning a 5.7 injector can flow 51.6 lbs. per hour, generating over 100hp per. cyl. providing everything else is up to the task!
