tpi idle and maf help please!?

hey guys, well my car is 89 iroc 305tpi. it runs gret, except the problem i have is when it warms to operating temp, it does not idle properly. it surges and will stall when i come to a stop. i have changed tps, iac, fuel filter. it has good fuel pressure about 42psi and drops to about 39 when running. i've cleaned the tb and iac port. wondering if anyone has any other ideas what could cause this issue??? the only code i had wass a 22 which hasn't come back yet. i did notice the maf screen torn. would that affect this??

Usually, assuming there are no vacuum leaks and the timing is correct, cleaning the IAC port with some throttle body cleaner fixes this problem. Is your TPS adjusted correctly? As far as the torn screen on your MAF, it's not helping anything but if it's not throwing a code I think that would be okay for now.

The screen isn't the issue, it's there to keep large debris from busting up your MAF wires.

If you suspect the MAF...just unplug it after it's warmed up and running rough, ECM will put it at some default setting...might not run the best, but won't chug/etc due the the MAF being unplugged.

Re: tpi idle and maf help please!?

i have tried unplugging the maf and usually it will stall out. also, to add... a few times it also will not start (i'm talking maybe once every 10 days or so) just cranks. i then spray ether into the tb and it fires right up and keeps running and will continue to restart after that. also, this issue happened right any ideas?
