Knock sensor where fan switch sensor was?

Due to some space issues, configuration issues, and whole lot of other "issues". Would putting the knock sensor in the spot where the fan switch was in the pass side head be bad? Specifically a 91 L98 configuration. I have a fan switch sensor (collant temp sensor) that was in my pass side head between #5 & #7 cylinders. Nothing is connected to it and I'd prefer that spot for a KS than on the intake manifold.

I can't put it on the PS or DS of the lower block for a couple reasons.

Re: Knock sensor where fan switch sensor was?

I have worked on a couple of TPI's and read alot about them on these boards. There is a wealth of information here. That still doesnt make me a professional or anything special. My opinion on this is going to be that the knock sensor will pick up the valves and rocker noise alot better possibly setting it off more often than it should. If you are tuning by yourself you could just try it, and see what the knock count was after a short drive. Which is what I would try if I couldnt get a definite answer.
