89 formula 350, 350 vortec with tpi ,cold stumble, long cold crank,
anyone out there replace there l98 with a 350 vortec (L31)and use a edelbrock base .car ran fine before motor swap, motor also ran fine.i now have a long cold crank time and a cold stumble off the line with light throttle, goes away when warm, and i cant run the 8 degrees of base advance that i had before.when warm or ran for 2 minutes or more will start right up.stock tpi setup except the base, edelbrock headers, new dist, new fuel pump, new 02 sens, new maf,new cts,160 tstat, new tps,new cap rotor plugs wires, running 5 degrees of base advance, any more and it pings on the top end with 93 octane.iat sensor relocated off plenum.car runs great otherwise, just those 2 stupid issues, any help would be greatly appreciated.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
