ok, while i was under my car changing the spark plugs, i noticed that the thing which the charcoal canister is bolted to (which is right next to the air filter) is able to be seen from the bottom of the car, and it looks like i could relocated the canister a little more towards the side of the car, take off the panel that the canister mounts to, and have a PERRfect spot to cut and mount a filer under the car for a really good cold air intake, but i haven't taken a good look at it yet, anyone know anything about this spot? im gonna look more tomorrow and see if i can make somethign with it.

It can be done, a guy in the Cascade crew used a K&N cone filter, and then sorta copied the CAI kits from the 5.0s with the scoop. Pretty slick setup, and you shouldnt have to worry about water if you do it right.
