MAF Sensor Question???

If the MAF sensor is'nt working properly it is'nt life threatening to my engine is it, I would just expect to get a little bit of bad gas mileage right, any other things people have experienced?...

For how long?.
You'll be risking hurting an exhaust valve, catalytic converter, like you said bad mileage.
If your running with a SES light on, then you might shorten the ring life, from being too rich.
Anyway you cut it your not doing the engine any good.

WEll I'm not driving it right now It's being stored but when I put it on the road I'll prolly be drivin a little with the maf sensor not hooked up because there's somethin wrong with it...maybe for like a week or 2, prolly totalled up about 200 miles total.. Should I just leave it hooked up until i get a new one

I'm surprised it even runs without it hooked up...My MAF went south early in the summer and the car wouldn't rev above 3200RPM and keep stalling.

I would definately save your pennies and get it replaced ASAP...look for a company that sells rebuilt ones. I got a new rebuilt one through my mechanic at a third of the cost of the dealer and a longer warrenty than GM offers.

Autozone sells MAF's for like 50.00.

I see them in the junkyard all the time. 10-20.00 used.

Finding a MAF isn't rocket science.

Would you drive around with a broken harmonic balancer? than don't drive around with a bad maf.
