I have a 88 trans am had a tpi 350 witch the motor and harness and ecm is gon and I have a motor and harness ans ecm out of a 92 z28 and I notesta the hareness was missing the wiper motor harness and iy had a brake senser plug.
Is there a way to make the harness work or shuld I just get a 88 hares and ecm?

 

I did a similar changeover when I installed a 92 speed density engine and tranny in my brothers 88. It is really not that hard if you repin the 92 harness at the c100 connector to match the firewall side of the main harness plug. He's been tugging along for a year now with no glitches or issues. It took longer to hunt down the wiring diagrams, but this board and EBay are a huge help. We got the 88 factory service and snooped around the net to find the 92 harness wiring diagram. I promise you that it is nowhere near as difficult as it may seem, you just pull the white plastic clip retainers and start moving them around one by one. It took every bit of about 3 hours. I wish we would have marked what we did, so I could easily tell you which wires needed to be moved, but I will tell you that quite a few of them didn't have to be moved. Hope this helps. i am kind of looking for the same thing i have an 87 v6 and i am swapping a 92 tpi into my camaro. i have been looking around for a while.
