Interesting idea... possible 10HP firebird gain?
Ok, so I know that TPI Camaros have 10 HP stock over Firebirds due to the 'bird's intake location. Now, is it possible to retrofit a Firebird to have the same dual-filter intake setup as a Camaro? Anyone ever tried this? I figure if that's the separation between the two and makes the difference in HP, it'd be a pretty sweet mod.

No need to. You can easily make a custom CAI for the Firebirds that will out flow the Camaro style intake system.

Dyno Don on this board has built an intake for his 1990 T/A using 3.5 inch tubing with mandrel bends from a K & N filter located in the cold air below the stock filter location into his plenum following the same path as stock. It will out flow anything stock from the factory on either model
