Pressure washed car now the engine doesn't run right. long

Alright I have a 1992 T/A with a 5.0 TPI.

I was replacing some front end body panels and decided to pressure wash the years of build up crap behind them. In the process I got the engine wet. I think I also got the engine wiring harness on the passanger side fender wet too. Anyway, I went to start the car up the next day and it would fire then die. I could keep it running by stabing the throttle. The thing is the engine only picked up when I let off of the throttle. I found I could keep it running by locking the TPS down on full throttle. It would run on high idle. I have also had to spray fuel into the intake just to get it started sometimes as well. It will run on it's own though. I can also manage to get it to run up to redline if I slowly give it throttle. When I jab it to full it dies out.

I have checked the TPS and it checked out with a digital multimeter and with a loptop scan tool. I am not getting any check engine lights or codes. I don't have a vacuum pump to check the MAP. It was reading around 5 volts on the laptop with the engine off. My computer died before I got the engine running again.

So what do you all think it might be??

I have only pressure washed the engine only 2 or 3 times in my life. However, when I did this, I covered the distributor, alternator, and a few other items with aluminum foil. Maybe you have water in the distributor. How about the MAP sensor. Could you have knocked off a vacuum hose somewhere? I'm only guessing here!

Well, I can tell you I did not hit the engine with a direct blast. It only got wet from the overspray. I don't think the distributor is the culprit because the engine will run fine when I make it. I checked all the connections at the map for vacuum and they looked good. THe actual map sensor might be bad but I have not tested it so far. The car has been sitting for over a week since I pressure washed it. No change thus far.
Thanx
