MAF Screens removed

Axle/Gears: stock for now
MAF Screens removed

okay i have been looking around and i see alot of people have MAF Screens on there 305's removed. Where is this and what would this do if i did it?

Looks like your car is near stock, no reason to do that to it. Leave the MAF alone.

they remove it because it turbulates the air as it runs into the plenum. not to mention the fact that the screen has a LOT of surface area. if you look at new MAF sensors, they have a screen like a honey-comb. and is designed to focus air flow with minimal restriction. if you really care about performance, you can buy one of those MAF sensors for your 3rd gen that has state of the art electronics and works with your out-dated fi system.
