081's or 601's

Have both............did a search are the 601's really that much better besides the smaller combustion chamber? I have both early and late intake manifolds so that's not a issue either.

Re: 081's or 601's

the 601s have a closed chamber combustion chamber which is suppossed to make more torque i think. i ported a set of 601s and was happy while they lasted(broke a rocker stud). but suppossedly theyre close in flow numbers so its really up to what you want to do. look in the ports on the heads yourself and decide seeing as how you have both.

In my experience the 601s will make more power than 081s out of the box and continue to pull ahead.
