camshaft help

so after planning out my engine i have tried looking up as many camshaft threads as possible and i have come to my first option for a camshaft. still there are acouple things that im confused about that i didnt seem to find an answer to. im looking into this cam http://store.summitracing.com/partde...7&autoview=sku

its going into an 86 iroc z with a 305 tpi, headers, 3 inch exhaust to hooker aero chamber muffler. im planning it to be a street car but still make trips to the strip for some drags. so i want that best of both worlds, one thing im wondering is will 108 degrees of lobe separation be enough? i read the cam article and it said that would be good for an engine of this size, but others have said that using a 114 lobe separation cam would be better? so im kinda lost. also i know the cam i need has to be a hydraulic flat tappet but does there have to be a special one for tpi? or fuel injection? i keep coming across camshafts that say "not computer controlled compatible" so what does this all mean, does this cam i picked fit ? or do i need something else. thanks

"i read the cam article and it said that would be good for an engine of this size"

Were they talking about a carb or EFI engine?
A lot harder to tune EFI with small lobe separation , generally >112 recommended.

Re: camshaft help

That's one step smaller than the 256. I'd go with the 256, it'll make more power and be just as tame.
