Need some assistance troubleshooting Cyl # 2 missing issue. New spark plugs and wires still has miss problem. Changed fuel pump and this still did not help. Any ideas?

How do I test the injector is ok?

 

Check the compression on #2 cylinder before doing anything else.

 

Compression around 150. Looks like the injector is not opening, it does not have the tick sound like the others.

 

If the injector checks out OK, remove the valve cover and inspect the valvetrain & rocker studs.

Injector ohms is 16.5 +/-.1 ohm all around. However, if I put screw driver on injector and listen I have several which are very weak sounding compared to others. Not sure what is good since coil resistance seems ok.

 

You could get a noid light to see if that injector is pulsing. My car had two that werent pulsing. Also, is it getting spark to the plug?

 

I checked the pulse voltage at the connector looks ok. Spark is good. I just ordered 8 new injectors, should be here on Friday or Sat. I bought the Bosch 3's which are much better than stock.

 

id also bet on a bad injector. Are they the originals? if they are, yes there shot. And even if there ohm'ing ok, they could still be clogged.

 

Replaced all 8 injectors and still have a slight miss and at start it takes till about 3500 to 4000 rpm until it comes alive. Any ideas?

 

Check the valve adjustment on cylinder in question.

 

Still missing, and now the Temp is going to 240 when I run it hard, then back down to 220 and then up again. I guess next is Timing now or distributor. Temp issue, I changed the thermostat which did not help. Can see water flowing in the radiator so water pump seems ok.

What Temp should I run at? and what temp does fans kick on. One fan turns on at 240 and I can not get the other fan to turn on even when AC is on.
