Good heads for L98??

I have a 89 IROC with the 350 TPI it has been rebuilt and bored .30 over and i was wanting to put some good heads on it. I was wondering what you guys think are a good set for these engines? Or Should i have the stock ones ported, polished and bigger valves set it? The car will be a sort of daily drive with headers, Eldebrock intake manifold runners, bigger TB, And wanting to do a LT4 Hot Cam in it also. Let me know what you guys think, Thanx..

Would you be porting them yourself, or no?

Unless he's giving you a great deal it might not be worth it. Porting is labour intensive and paying someone to do it can get expensive quick.

Re: Good heads for L98??

ok i have search on here a little bit and the AFR Eliminator 195's seem to look good to me. And the have recently updated them with ls1 style lightweight valvetrain. They say it is 30hp over the old style ones. Think these will do good with that setup?

Re: Good heads for L98??

I run the TFS 175 cc aluminum heads on my 89 TPI motor. They are basically a corvette aluminum head with a 2cc smaller combustion chamber. Decent head with garbage for valve springs, but then for $1000.00 new out of the box, I got what I paid for!
