Comp XR276HR-12 and idle vacumm

I have this cam with a vortec head setup and 52mm Tb.The car is very rich at idle. I have adjusted minimum air and TPS with no effect to the issue.I checked vacuum at idle today and it is at 9.5 to 10." I'm sure this is the cause of the rich idle. Is this normal with this cam?I have checked for vacumm leaks with no luck. What do you think?

Has the car been tuned?

Brand new build and just started all the mechanical tuning before having a chip burned. As far as timing , air,tps etc. yes its tuned. has stock chip now.

It's gonna take some PROM tuning to get your A/FR's dialed in with that cam. I've got several hours of tuning in my setup using that cam.

With the stock chip, your eyes will probably be watering everytime you start the car from running too rich.

You'll also need a higher stall or a manual tranny with that cam.

Thanks 1bad91z. I have a 2500 precision industries convertor. I spoke with Streat and Performance and they told me I had to get my vacuum up to around 15"to 13" minimum before proper chip tuning. They also said they thought this cam would hold alot better vacuum than I have. I notice you have the same setup as me. have you checked your vacuum? And you are correct it will water you eyes in no time.
