I have an 86 iroc z and am looking to swap in a bigger cam and heads.
Im looking at the lt4 hotcam kit and world sr torquer 305 heads
would this be a good setup i see that mr brisk is using the hotcam and his car sounds mean as hell.
I already have a full exhaust system, heddman shorty headers, american thunder catback 3" and an exhaust cutout.
Im looking to make around 300 hp at the motor with the cam and heads.
Also any recomendations for upgrading the intake side.
I was thinking maybe a superram or edelbrock set up.

 

If your engine is stock from '86, then you have a flat-tappet cam, and the LT4 HOT cam is a roller cam. You would need aftermarket roller lifters and a front timing chain adaptor to use the LT4 cam or any other roller cam.
