Thinking of upgrading Injectors.. have a cpl of questions..

Ok. So the previous owner threw in a 350 that I found was a truck replacement. i am thinking of upgrading the fuel injectors.. now from what i gather and correct me if I am wrong but the fuel injectors are part of the TPI setup correct? meaning if he took the TPI setup off of his original 305 he could have just carried it over to the 350. just wondering because as i stated in another post the 350 in my vehicle is actually meant for a TBI vehicle from the heads down however the previous owner through the TPI setup on this engine.. motor was meant for a lot of low end power which was nice but i am converting the heads and cam so i will get better resujlts.. also if I am not mistaken the stock injectors on the 305 were 19#, correct?. I am thinking of upgrading to 24# injectors. What will I need to perform this? are this simple plug and play or do you have to take alot of items apart to replace them and do you have to tune them while putting them in. I plan having a chip programmed for all the new add-ons i have but was just wondering if putting the fuel injectors in is something I can do (not having much experience working on cars) or if i should have a good mechanic do the job. thanks for any input.

Hi, yes stock injectors are 19lbs, and yes the 24lb injectors will be plug and play., and yes you will need to do some tuning. If you are not mechanically inclined, you are probably better off having an experienced mechanic help you out. When you decide to do this we can help you out with injectors if you would like. Try the SVO injectors. They are the right size and are a pretty good deal for the price.
