Air tube removal???

Is it possible to remove the air tube that is bolted to the back of the heads that connects the passenger and driver side air tube without taking out the tranny? Can I lower the tranny and get it out? It's on a 86 TPI Auto. Thanks!

Please save your energy if you want to tell me to leave it on...

Yep. If you're having too many issues unbolting it then you can cut it off.

Done it more than once. Both remove an install. A little cose to work in, but doable. You can remove the distributor and coil to get some more working room. Just make sure you reattach all of your ground wires. I use a star washer and some anti-seize, to make sure I get a good ground and prevent corrosion. Those grounds are very important.
