I don't know if the 3.1 has different values than the 5.0 and 5.7L engines, but checking the ohms is pretty easy. Car doesn't need to be on. I checked a set on my kitchen table. In the car is just as easy.

Re: Injector Resistance

I appreaciate the info, but i really need to know wat the resistance is SUPPOSED to be at for my 3.1 Hopefully ill get my service manuel back from my buddy 2mro so I can see how to replace them, because after playing with my VATS system, im just about postive its my injectors themselves. With the car being almost as old as i cam it wouldent surprise me to see they went bad.

Re: Injector Resistance

I think a good reading on most is around 12 ohms. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
You should be able to read all yours and tell if one or two don't give with the rest.

Re: Injector Resistance

What really matters is that they are all about the same (+- 10%). They are not all going to fail.

Re: Injector Resistance

They need to be more than 12 ohms when warm/hot. They should be around 15+ ohms when cold. Anything less than 12 ohms and its a bad one.

Re: Injector Resistance

Ok thanks fellas, since my car wont stay running I gotta check them cold, I mean dead cold. Keep in mind my car will start and run for a little bit then die without coughing and sputtering. And the car doesnt throw any trouble codes at all. Nor do I get a check engine light until the car dies. The car will restart with ether but wont run after its first "running trial". The resistances i found are as follows
Cyl 1 - 8.2 Ohm
Cyl 2 - 11.6 Ohm
Cyl 3 - 11.7 Ohm
Cyl 4 - 13.3 Ohm
Cyl 5 - 6.0 Ohm
Cyl 6 - 12.8 Ohm
