Another manufacturer to look at is Canfield. They don't get much press because they do not advertise.

Re: patriot Alum. heads
gotta set on my 383 and love em. but the ex. guides they come wtih suck *** so i'd recommend changin them before you put them on. i didnt even have 15 hours on mine before the ex. guides were worn out.... but other then that there great for the money. o and buy them bare and set them how you want them. IMO

its been answered - take a look.
they are cast in china - http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/patr...ds-102790.html and i dont know what their quality control is.
see also http://www.camaros.net/forums/archiv.../t-103160.html.
did you try to look this up at all? i found this in less than 10 minutes and there is lots more.
this site has a great search engine and i found that most questions i want to ask were already asked and i did not have to, i just read what was previously written.
here is another discussion - http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/sh...hp?tid/185902/
more on how its a edelbrock knock off which is not necessarily bad. http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh....php?p=1516633
keep in mind that edelbrock checks every casting to make sure its as perfect as they can make it. i cant say the same for china and how they do it. a few flaws here and there, the outside looks good but under stress who knows.
still they look good for the price, if they are good.
