5.7 TPI blown headgasket

All stock engine - blew a headgasket. I want to remove some engine smog equipment. Plan to cap EGR, remove air pump, cap tubes in manifolds. There is electrical connections at the air pump diverter valve and the EGR. Is there any computer related problems that will arise when I disconnect?

Should I leave it stock and just simply hate or get used to working around this stuff?

Leave it stock and be a hater and get used to working around it.

Visit the DIY PROM board you'll get an idea of what's involved not to mention some of you money and a lot of your time, or a lot of money for a little of somebody Else's time.

There is no computer reprogramming involved in removing the A.I.R. system. There is 1 change required when deleting the EGR to keep the SES light off.

What do you do with the wires going to the air valve? Leave disconnected?
So the EGR is what will make it run lean if capped off? Who can program the change or how much does a programmer cost and who sells them? Thanks, Doug Griffin, GA
