Fuel rail torque value?
I'm putting my fuel rail back together after tearing it down to clean it up and replace all of the o-rings but, I don't see a torque value for the bolts that hold the crossover tubes in place. I have an '86 service manual but couldn't find a value. Does anyone know what this might be? I don't want to over tighten anything. Also, do I need to use a thread locker for these as well?
Thanks,
Tony

Re: Fuel rail torque value?
Hey Vader thanks for the information. Since I didn't find anything in the 5.0L section I looked in the 2.8L section and found a value. In the 1986 manual for the FUEL BLOACK AND SEAL (page 6E3-C-24) in the INSTALL AND CONNECT section it calls for 44 in. lbs which is what I used. It didn't mention any thread locker but, even though the fuel rail is back on the manifold, I haven't installed the pressure regulator yet so I have access to all the bolts and can easily go back and put some on.
Thanks again,
Tony
