Hi, I just picked up a 88 GTA with 49K miles and the car is bone stock. I don't know much about the 88' 350 motors (L98) with TPI. I am looking for the best performance mods for the $$ - I don't want to break the motor down or a blower, just the basic bolt on stuff. I know there are some inexpensive performance mods, I just want to know what works on these motors.

 

Very nice find! All depends on what you want to do to it.
With the low miles, keeping it stock would be my 1st choice. But that's totally up to you.
Getting the motor to breath is the best thing you can do.
A nice set of headers, and a nice exhaust would be nice.
A new air intake system. I choose the SLP.
Those 2 things were a must when I bought my 87 Trans Am.

All depends on what you want to do to it.
