Re: Knocking problem

Lets see,Low oil pressure, grinding noise then a clanking sound. Now you have a knock.I`m no mechanic but it sounds expensive.Doesnt sound good to me.I`d start saving for a GM crate motor or a rebuild. Was it low on oil or running hot when this happened? Was it low on oil when you put thye 2 quarts in it or did you just add 2 quarts to it?

so I was like "thats weird, i put only in you like two weeks ago?"
what does that mean?Has it been leaking oil?

Re: Knocking problem

Nah it doesnt leak oil at all. It wasnt runnin hot, around 160-180, and the oil pressure was alittle below 15psi. But i just added the 2 quarts because i saw that it was low on oil when i got home. But i meant to say that i put oil in her two weeks ago. Im just really sad !!

Re: Knocking problem

Without being able to hear the knock first hand its hard to really say.Like I said it doesnt look good from your description.Id get by a decent shop and let them look/listen at it.
