Time To Re & Re Heads
Does anyone have an estimate of the time to remove the two cylinder heads from a 5.0 liter TPI engine and replace two new heads? I am thinking about 10 hours. Not including any porting, polishing, gaskete matching, etc. I am researching replacing my heads. I probably have the ability to do this myself but it has been so long since I did this type of work I would prefer to spend a bit of money and make sure it is done right.
I have an auto mechanic that free lances for 30 $/hour who use to work at the auto mechanic shop I usually go to where they charge 100 $/hour.

It depends on how rusty the exhaust manifold and header bolts are. There's not a lot of room to work if it's stock with all the AIR plumbing. I'd say 10 hours easy, maybe more if it's a tough one.
