Besides Heads (Too expensive for me right now) what is the next step after bolt-ons? I was thinking either an Intake or Cam. My Car is a DD but I don't go very far to work and school, so driveability isn't a huge concern.

I'm putting in some 1.6 rollers this weekend, if things work out. Good for a real seat-of-the-pants felt improvement. At least it was on the last one I did.

Headers and exhaust if you haven't done them yet. Best bang for the buck by far on these cars.

If you've done those already, go to www.camaroz28.com and look in the classifieds for a stock LT1 cam, they are a great upgrade for the 5.0 TPI engines, and you can probably get one for $50 or so. Then its just the gaskets you'll need to replace to get it in there and probably a timing set. $100-$125 or so total I'd say.

Re: Next Big Mod?
go buy an LT1 cam off Ebay for 75-100 bucks.

I paid $320 for mine in my sig, but it will work in a 350 when I go to build it. (if I want to use it)

Re: Next Big Mod?
I notice you have stock 2.73 rear end, buy a 3.23/3.42 rear end or ring & pinion, it will wake the car up more than anything. I paid 160 for a Richmond ring & pinion and 80 for a ratech installation kit, just remember if you just change the R&P to get one that fits your series 2 carier. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku that is the one I got, its for a series 2 carrier.

Re: Next Big Mod?
yeah I agree a gear and maybe a stall converter.

You can go cheap on the stall converter if you want also.
A little bit of info that some people don't know.

A GM stall converter out of a S10 pick up. Toss one of those in.
You can probably get one pretty cheap at a junk yard.

Our cars stall around 1600rpms, the one out of the S10's...they stall around 2200rpms.

So you can do that also. But I love my 3.73 gears!

Go gears and some tranny parts. If your going to go through all the work to swap a cam you might as well just do the heads and intake while your at it since so much will be off the engine, so maybe thats something for down the road. Also exhaust upgrades are a must on our cars! My Formula is the 5th car i've "built" since I was 15 and when it comes to going fast, Ive noticed its best to start at the rear

Just make sure its from a 2.2 4cyl truck! My 4.3/auto stalls around 1800 give or take.
