how much power will I lose if I swap my tpi to a carb set up?or would it just be better to stay with the tpi?

Wow you're full of questions.

Federal law says you cant go backwards with emissions parts, so TPI to carb is illegal.

On a stock engine, its pretty much a toss up which one is better. You'll probably make a little more power with a carb, but you'll make a little more torque with a TPI. Torque is what makes street cars so much fun. Plus a TPI car will get better gas mileage and be easier to start on a cold morning.

for more info. This is a pretty common debate.
