Re: production numbers anyone??
I doubt its cause of the color, and I dont recall any that came with black ground effects. The options are what makes it rare.Being an 87 305 TPI auto its prolly not rare. Those are a dime a dozen.I`ve had 2.from what I`ve read if it was maybe a 305,5 speed with rear disc and a certain gear in the rear end.I think it would have to be a J 92 optioned car to be rare.
Open the console lid and look at all the codes under it and go to the main page of this site and download the RPO decoder.Enter them and it will tell you what most of them are.The firebird may have the rpo codes in a differant place.
Also,go to the main page of this site and click on firebird tech data.It will give you production numbers based on your car, engine, trans, hard top or t-top or whatever.CHeck it out.
BTW,welcome to TGO.There is alot to be learned here. And dont forget to use the search feature. It can be a pain in the ars some times but while searching for one thing you might learn another question you had.most of all dont let anyone try tomake you afraid to ask questions. However you do need to read the FAQ board and read all the stickies at the top of any page before you fill the archives with repeated questions.thanks and enjoy.
21,788 or so trans Ams made that year.I could just be a complete idiot and be way wrong about all this.
