Need tAdvice

I'm going to swap a 350 TPI from an 89 Corvette in my 1987 Iroc-Z. I will have about 700 bucks left.

With that budget, what would add the most HP?

a good tune up, and also make sure you run the correct prom in the ecm for a 350 aluminum head l98, might want to add some headers if you don't already have them while the engine is out

I agree with the headers, and would also suggest the SLP runners to get her to flow a bit better up top.

Re: Need tAdvice

Oh alright. For the tune up what would you suggest for plugs and oil?

I was thinking of the edelbrock high flo runners, which one's are better?

Re: Need tAdvice

If I remember right the SLP are cheaper I think. Tune up wise, I like to stick with the proper AC Delcos for you engine. Oil wise I like Royal Purple.

Re: Need tAdvice

Id get a set of the Hooker 2055's and get that sucker welded
up to a nice sounding muffler and you'd still have about $300 or
so bucks to work with!

..or you could use the $700 to go long tubes headers true dual,
that way for ready for a 500HP small block when the time comes!

overkill I know!

Id get some Hookers or the Hedman's!

The Bosch plugs are garbage IMHO. I had the platinum's in mine for awhile, and they were crap! Went back to the stock AC Delco and the car ran aces again.

Oil isn't a huge issue as long as it is good oil and not some generic crap.

Re: Need tAdvice

You can buy headers that will allow all the plumbing from you emission to hook back up to them. But I am not sure who sells them. Someone will chime in with a part number for you I am sure.
