Dual TPI or TPI dual runners setup

Has anyone made or already had the idea of having some kind of dual runners system?
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong at any point here as I've been a TPI owner (and known of its existance for almost a whole 2 months now):

The TPI system is meant to be awesome for torque at low rpm because of the high velocity of air entering by the long runners....
as the rpms increase the engine needs more air to sustain the rpms/power or whatever and the long runners choke the engine of the air it requires yes?

What if you had a dual throttle body setup with a second set of runners welded in at the intake, which is attached at the 1st throttle body with linkage from the 1st to open the 2nd throttle body at say 30% throttle?
then you'd have in escense 2 runners per cylinder with twice the air running in after however many rpms.
Would that not fix the problem with high rpm restrictions?
Again its just a thought/idea I had and just wodnerign if this already exists or if its a viable design?
I'm assuming it would be difficult to map the ecu to factor for it, unless it was an aftermarket where you can map the fuel or whatnot for every 100rpm?
and probably too much hassle to make a y pipe from the maf to the 2 throttle bodies, but maybe speed density? i dunno how it works. or map?
Any input or at the least a flat out shutdown and mockery of the ignorance of my idea? :P

Yep, that's what the Corvette Zr1 - LT5 motor has, or at least similar. One throttle body, but two runners per cylinder. One that opened up for higher rpms.

...but that doesn't even begin to work with our motors. IIRC, the LT5 is a quad, or at LEAST a dual cam motor. TOTALLY not a traditional small block.

...in theory, you've got the right idea, but it's not feasible to do. Could it be fabricated with the right amount of knowledge, and determination? -sure, but why? Sooo many other small block EFI intakes out there that work. There's just not a need for something like that.

..but don't let me discourage you from trying!

Just had a look and yeah.... pretty much
I spose if I could think of it in 10minutes then someone had to of before me.

I didn't think secondary injectors would be necessary but maybe thats their way around the ecu fuel map stuff.

I'm more of a thinker than a doer.
My tool collection at current stands with a philips head screwdriver flat head screwdriver, shifting spanner, test light, and swiss army knife LOL
